Major Kempf arrived at 8 A. M. with orders to proceed to K. P. 162.5 with all supplies and equipment to
establish base depot there. Took trucks back to take from school houses along road to send to new location, After completing my mission proceeded to new location arriving there at 6 P. M. Had nothing to eat all of Xmas Day. Seventy-five truck loads had arrived. No civilian employees accompanied us upon evacuation, just five officers and eight enlisted men. Twelve of trucks were quartermaster with Phil Scout drivers, the remainder were civilian trucks and drivers.
