Hospital in a furor. Filipino patients who could walk and doctors all left hospital on way home. No Philippine Army any more. Everybody very anxious about what is to come. Not much work being done. Food is much worse than ever before. About all we have left is rice and a few fixings. Many new doctors in hospital. Know nothing of Robbie. Five of us drank a toast with a bottle of iced champagne. It was evacuated from Manila and furnished
by me. Then had some pineapple juice and some chocolate candy the nurses left behind.
