While in Iloilo yesterday, we visited Mrs. Ledesma. She told us that she had received a letter from Mrs. Allen’s sister (now living in Manila), and that Mr. Allen had gained weight in the concentration camp. He can no longer drink liquor, so it seems to have been more of a cure for him. Filipino women married to American men are not placed in concentration (only their husbands) and if they are in the camp, it is of their own accord.
