Returned to Manila by rail as the Engineer Corp had repaired the road as we had advanced. The regiments that had participated in the campaign of Mololos [Malolos] were the 22nd U.S. Infty, 3rd U.S. Infty. 3rd U.S. Art, 4 troops 4th U.S. Cav. 1st Nebr. Vols., 20th Kan. Vols. Montana Vols, 2nd Oregon Vols, and the 10th Penn. Vols, and Utah Battery
William R. Johnson
(December 5, 1880 -- March 18, 1952). Originally Corporal, Company K of 22nd Regiment, U.S. Infantry as of January 3, 1899, arriving in the Philippines March 4, 1899, and serving as such until he resigned in July, 1899 (he was reappointed to the same rank one year later); made Quartermaster Sergeant in October, 1901 until mustered out in December of that year.
