On fatigue at 8.30 with old guard. The old gun was “shootin em up” all day, and lots of them in sight. We had lots of good shooting, when the percussion shrapnel drove them out of their trenches & we got two mounted officers. In spite of our shooting they are playing closer every day and draw up under new trenches every morning.
