Today seemed the longest day I have lived. Planes and artillery firing heard all day from dawn to dark. Believe it or not we had cherry pie for supper. 2 cases of Class C rations put in my command car. The irony of it all no one ate the rations issued. Helped take care of casualties at 3rd Bn aid station, also helped Chap. Scecina bury 4 dead from Company G, killed by bombs.
